How to get here

By car

Less than 10 minutes from M6 Junction 13, The Moat House is easily accessible by car from the motorway and from the A34 or A449. Using the postcode ST17 0RJ, go through the village and take the next right after Moathouse Close to find our car park.

By Train

The Moat House is around a 10 minute taxi ride from Stafford railway station on the West Coast Mainline. There are regular services to and from London Euston, Birmingham New Street, Manchester Piccadilly, Liverpool Lime Street, Bristol Temple Meads and Bournemouth.

As we are so central, there are three international airports within an hour’s drive of The Moat House. Birmingham Airport (BHX) is approximately 40 minutes, East Midlands (EMA) is around an hour away, and Manchester (MAN) is also around an hour’s drive.

How to book a room

We have a range of double, twin, accessible and family rooms and suites available to book, with or without breakfast. You can book online or call reception on 01785 712217. Quote the name of the couple whose wedding you’re attending to receive a preferential rate on your room booking. On the day, you will be able to check in from 2:00pm. We can store your luggage if needed.

Bar

You can pay for drinks at the bar with cash or card, or charge them to your room bill if you are staying with us overnight.

We have a strict Challenge 25 policy at The Moat House. Any guests ordering alcohol who appear under the age of 25 will be asked for ID. Failure to produce valid ID will result in refusal of sale.

We politely ask that you do not bring your own alcohol onto the premises.

Final orders at the bar are at 12:45am.

Food

The food has been chosen for you by the couple you are celebrating.

Please inform them directly of any dietary requirements at least one month before the wedding date.

If you have any dietary requirements please speak to a member of the team on the day, and they will be able to advise on allergens when canapés and the evening buffet are served.
